 A FELT Monologue

What will you, and what have you left behind?

I found out that what, why and how, are very key questions for any person who want to understand whatsoever, find purpose, understanding certain things and even find the reasons why some things happen as they do, good or bad. And in search of life’s Harmony, Honour, Blessings and Understandings, I have read, seen and noted that many people, families, institutions and nations have explored, researched, investigated, sought and mined the resources of their land and that of other people’s.

Humans continue to undertake many undeavours and pursue many aspirations, interests and inventions for diverse recognition, interests, awards, reasons and recommendations. Some have lost out in their efforts whiles yet still all is well for others as they achieve results, purpose, significance and money; even relevances for themselves and their families amidst national focus. All is well for such many who have been persevering on purpose; consistently and faithfully.

There are indeed achievements that have attracted even Presidential medals, National awards, Family recognition basically aiming at developing tangible inventories for corporations, teams and groups of people, things and businesses. But such individuals have fought against many storms to achieve their personal glories.

All is well that ends well and good indeed. Many of us encourage more push into greater efforts, undertakings, discoveries and achievements for common good of humanity and even divinity. The question is – What will you leave behind? And what have you left behind? This seems like a simple question but is never a mere one at all.

What you leave behind very much depends on what you have and what you have to offer. You can have many things to leave behind for posterity but whether you can or will decide to do so is a fundamental question which must be addressed individually, as family or even as a nation.

We can leave many things behind for good memories and advancement of family, society and humanity. We can also leave problems, disasters, negativities and even curses. What you can leave depends on many factors such as mindsets, social and spiritual orientation, education, developmental exposure, perspectives, knowledge, wisdom, nature of the heart and so on. We can also leave, among others, the following:

1. Conquest

2. Covenants

3. A good name

4. Heritage

5. An Inheritance

6. Blessings

7. Curses

8. Debts

9. Affluence

10. Wars

11. Feud

12. Stability and Growth

13. Grace and Favour

14. Riches and Honour

15. Understandings

16. Enthronements

17. Enterprises ans Empires

19. Poverty and Simpleton

20. Anointings and Examples,

21. Offences

22. Hurts

23. Bitterness

24. Evil Expectations

25. Wickedness

26. Cunning Acts and Draftiness and so on.

I found out that what you do not leave behind matters so much and as much as what you leave behind. Each has its own and specific actions, results, impact, benefits, consequences, debit and/or credit.

And though I will tackle later – what have you left behind – in the next episode of this monologue, please allow me to ask you this particular question: What will you, in particular, leave behind for your progeny, family, people, associates, neighbors, community, nation?

I have found out that and always keep in mind that in this world, whatever you leave behind even through  the physical death of your mortal body, you will surely come for it as your works on earth to present to your Creator.

And though, you have personal liberties under the law of your habitation, community or nation, and can do any thing permissible according to your good pleasures, my best counsel to you and yours is simply this: Be careful on what you will actually leave behind for others; a much improved version from what you can leave or could have left behind.

Life is an unfolding mystery indeed which is also based or premised on the paths charted by those before you arrive here on earth, on your own destiny paths and even derived from the purposes of your existence – Your Ambition, Business and Care of life. So, work out yours so well to receive an excellent well done. Well done!
